Technique, Inc. is a Michigan-based stamping, tubing and welding facility offering the shortest lead-times and highest quality parts in the industry. We offer high-speed prototypes, ultra-low volume stampings, tubing and assemblies for production and emergency-based manufacturing for industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical and food processing.

Technique, Inc. is currently looking for a quality inspector who will qualify parts and weldments to customer expectations using inspection hand tools, CMM, and PCMM. Data management and analysis will both be used to continue to develop better final products. The development of skills for this position will heavily rely on CAD, manufacturing processes, inspection, and data analysis.

Available Shifts:

1st shift, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Job Responsibilities:
  • Qualify parts using inspection hand tools, CMM, PCMM and Romer arm
  • Individual parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and fixturing are to be primary functions of inspection with aid of software.
  • Ability to read detailed drawings and interaction with CAD models.
  • Data management to track the traceability of material and parts.
  • Data analysis of inspection reports to find trends.
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Vocational training (STEM Program, Career Center or Technical Trades Training)
  • At least 1 year experience reading blueprints.
Desired:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in design.
  • 1-2 years of solid manufacturing in SolidWorks.
  • Experience using PolyWorks software.
  • At least 1 year of related Romer arm operating experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with database management.

The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to manufacturing processes that include and are not limited to; fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
