System Administrator
Technique, Inc. is a high-tech stamping, tubing and welding facility offering the shortest lead-times and highest quality parts in the industry. The primary objective of data management is to use collected data to improve processes within the shop. Bridging the gap between E2 (ERP software; limited access) and producing functioning reports and data access to the shop floor via Ignition. Development of document control from engineering to the shop floor; as well as to customers, in the forms of prints, checklists, customer requirements, and internal needs. Data management must be familiar with engineering practices, physical workflow, and quality practices to develop processes via SQL and web interfaces (Ignition). Other special projects may be added to the System Administrator’s responsibility as deemed needed by the Operations Manager or CEO of Technique, Inc.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspects of the MRP system (currently ‘Shoptech E2’), including software updates, troubleshooting issues and further implementation of system options as deemed applicable and helpful to business goals
- Develop and provide training as needed to personnel working within the MRP system
- Working knowledge of database management and Data Analysis Techniques (Business Analytics)
- Acts as the primary point person for the data mining of the available MRP data to develop company metrics, departmental metrics, and any other data needs of the company
- Aid, develop and manage SQL database and ignition user interface
- Aid in developing document management for internal and customer needs
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution. A supervisory / management level of involvement in a manufacturing business is desired and preferred
- 4-10 years related experience
- Prior MRP and database experience preferred
- Previous experience in report development, web-based programming and implementation a plus

The employee must occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
