Position Summary:
This position requires skills in metal finishing, blueprint reading and accurate decision-making. The position is responsible for the operations, programming, and maintenance of 2D flatbed laser cutting equipment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operating and maintaining TRUMPF 2D laser equipment
  • Material handling – loading and unloading sheet metal with forklifts and cranes
  • Programming and setting up TRUMPF 2D laser equipment – make manual adjustments for cut quality and change cutting paths, troubleshooting
  • Document in-process jobs
  • Shear/trim sheet metal
  • Do surface plate layouts with a variety of inspection tools
  • Changing tech tables for better cut conditions
  • Follow all safety procedures

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Environmental Expectations:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to manufacturing processes that include and are not limited to; fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED, vocational training
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: none
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years manufacturing experience
Position Type and Expected Hours:
This is a full-time non-exempt position with a minimum of 40hrs / week with overtime as needed. Note: days and hours required may vary.
Shifts include 1st , 7:00a – 3:30p M-F 2nd, 3:30p – 2:00a, M-TH and Weekend Days 5:00a – 5:30p F-Sun
