The Director of Quality position is a high-ranking and highly visible position within the organization and will require a close relationship with our customer base to ensure quality in all products which enable strong product reputation and reliability. This position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of a world-class quality management system and exceptional customer experiences.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages compliance, continual improvement and application of special process certifications including hosting. Serves as the management representative.
- Create, revise, and implement quality assurance procedures, policies and standards. Ensure these systems, and documents align with recognized Quality System Standards as well as organizational objectives, policies and procedures.
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Acting as the lead organizational contact for all customer concerns. Investigate customer issues and complaints relating to quality. Perform RCCA a variety of methods.
- Oversee and/or conduct product audits to ensure finished goods conform to specified requirements to ensure shipped products meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Develop, set and achieve goals associated with quality system improvements.
- Interface with other departments to meet organizational goals.
- Monitors the organization’s key performance indicators.
- Provide justification for quality related capital equipment and training expenditures.
- Develop, analyze and provide technical data, statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee and/or initiate the development of measurement tools that enable product evaluation.
- Oversee, manage, and/or conduct PPAP and First Article submission requirements.
- Train, develop, coach, and mentor quality team members to ensure strong performance and positive morale within the quality department.
- Train employees in all aspects of QSM, quality control, RCCA, inspection, and fixturing methodology.

TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area and overnight travel should be expected when engagement with customers at customer locations is required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
- Member of ASQ and Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (MOQ/OE) is preferred.
- 5-10 years related experience.
- QMS internal auditor training desired.
- Knowledge of metal stampings and assembly processes required.
- Prior supervisory experience desired.
