STATUS: Non Exempt
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing prototype parts from start to finish using complex hydroforming equipment and software.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain, program, set up and operate hydroforming equipment to develop prototype parts
- Make complex calculations to complete GD&T layouts and make changes to tooling.
- Complete job documentation
- Adjust programs using CAD
- Set up complex table layouts
- Draw nests, mask plates, and binder plates in AutoCAD
- Change out press tooling
- Lubricate, load, and unload parts from hydroforming equipment
- Coordinate department members to meet deadlines and develop tricky parts.
- Coordinate with other departments about secondary processes
- Follow all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Environmental Expectations:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to manufacturing processes that include and are not limited to; fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: forklift operator’s license preferred
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of manufacturing experience in metal forming
Position Requirements (Skills & Abilities):
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work on a team
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferred
- Intermediate shop math knowledge
- Romer arm experience preferred
